Alan R. Feigenbaum

I am a matrimonial and family law attorney dedicated to helping clients safeguard their long-term emotional well-being following divorce. My work centers on assisting a broad range of individuals, including business owners, lawyers, investors, and entertainers, in navigating family law matters. I place particular emphasis on addressing challenging financial and custody disputes, using thoughtful strategies to achieve manageable resolutions. In addition, I handle agreements—such as separation, prenuptial, and postnuptial—with the goal of building a solid foundation for my clients’ futures. I strive to resolve disputes amicably, prioritizing collaboration and minimizing conflict wherever possible, while seeking to resolve cases outside of court whenever feasible. Recognizing that divorce can profoundly shape a person’s life, I focus on ensuring my clients’ financial and familial interests are preserved over the long term. I also have extensive courtroom experience, including serving as first-chair in domestic relations trials. Early in my career, I gained valuable experience examining witnesses before the U.S. International Trade Commission. Beyond client work, I write and speak frequently on family law topics. I contribute regularly as a columnist for the New York Law Journal, offering insights into divorce law. Through pro bono efforts, I volunteer as a discharge upgrade attorney for The Veterans Consortium, helping veterans navigate critical legal matters.
