In 2016, Carla Trinca-Conley joined Berg Bryant Elder Law Group, PLLC, where she specializes in assisting elderly individuals and their families. Carla is passionate about getting to know each client's unique story and tailoring her legal services to their needs. She is a Board-Certified Elder Law attorney by the Florida Bar. At Berg Bryant, Carla is the lead attorney for guardianship cases, including guardianships over incapacitated adults, guardian advocacy proceedings for developmentally disabled individuals over 18, and guardianship proceedings for minors with funds from personal injury actions or inheritance. Carla is committed to helping her clients navigate the requirements of the court and overcome the hurdles that come with guardianship. She assists families in the aftermath of a loved one's passing and helps clients prepare for their future by creating wills, trusts, special needs trusts, and advance directives. Carla holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Pittsburgh and a Juris Doctor and Certificate in Elder Law from The John Marshall Law School, where she graduated cum laude. While in law school, Carla interned for The Honorable Ann Collins-Dole in the Probate Division of the Circuit Court of Cook County and served as President of the Elder Law Society, Teaching Assistant in Property Law, and a Moot Court Council Member. Carla is an active member of several legal organizations, including the Florida State Guardianship Association, National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA), Elder Law Section of the Florida Bar, and Jacksonville Bar Association.
