Scott Bentley

I grew up overseas in Cairo, Egypt. Egypt is an amazing county and culture. Being abroad also makes me appreciate the freedoms that we have as Americans and the beauty of the law. I have had success in both civil and criminal law. In a civil appeal I was able to get punitive damages of over 1 million dollars stricken on the basis that the defendant's net worth was not adequately established. On the criminal side I have argued in front of the Second Appellate District, Division 6 in a case which resulted in a published opinion. These results illustrate that I am a person dedicated to the details of each case both in terms of the facts and the applicable law. My unique background makes me appreciate people of a variety of backgrounds. Compassion, intellect and the will to challenge what is presented without just accepting it at face value is what makes me unique as a lawyer.
