Tongzhou Li

I am an attorney and Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with a focus on handling complex tax controversies involving both federal and state matters. Before joining the Ben-Cohen Law Firm, I worked as an Appeals Officer with the IRS Independent Office of Appeals, where I gained hands-on experience resolving a broad range of international and domestic tax issues. Previously, I served as a senior international tax associate at KPMG LLP, one of the Big Four accounting firms. In that role, I provided guidance on cross-border tax planning and compliance for multinational corporations and partnerships. I also created and presented technical training on topics such as Subpart F, outbound transactions, and partnership compliance for the KPMG Pacific Southwest International Tax Group. In addition to my professional background, I am a proud U.S. Army veteran and am fluent in Mandarin. I was admitted to the California Bar in December 2021.
