About
I am a Board Certified Family Law Specialist, recognized by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization since 1998 and re-certified every five years through 2023. With more than 34 years of focused experience in family law, I founded Becker Family Law to provide strategic, compassionate representation to families throughout North Texas. My offices in Prosper and Sherman allow me to serve clients in Collin, Denton, Grayson, Fannin, and surrounding counties, including Prosper, Celina, Frisco, McKinney, and Denton. I handle the full spectrum of family law matters, with particular emphasis on complex divorces involving high-asset property division, high-conflict child custody disputes, child support modifications, relocation cases, and family law appeals. As a certified family law mediator, I also help clients reach efficient, non-litigious resolutions that protect children and preserve financial stability when appropriate. I graduated from Syracuse University and earned my Juris Doctor from Western New England University School of Law in 1990. I have been licensed to practice law in Texas since 1992. Early in my career I was named one of the Best Family Law Attorneys Under 40, and I have been repeatedly selected as a Texas Super Lawyer (2021–2026). I have served as Chair of the Family Law Section of the Dallas Bar Association and as an adjunct professor teaching family law and civil procedure. At Becker Family Law, I combine aggressive courtroom advocacy when necessary with practical, client-centered strategies. I understand that family law cases touch every aspect of a client’s life—emotions, children, finances, and future plans—and I work closely with each individual to develop solutions tailored to their unique circumstances and goals. Please give me a call for a free telephone consultation.
