Stacey M. Valentine

I am Stacey M. Valentine, the managing partner at Avelino Law, LLP, where I work alongside A. Jude Avelino to lead the Trusts and Estates practice group. I graduated from Colgate University with magna cum laude honors and from Washington & Lee University School of Law with cum laude honors. My work primarily involves analyzing, structuring, and administering sophisticated estate plans to help individuals and families achieve their wealth planning goals. In this intricate and constantly evolving area of law, my clients value not only my deep understanding but also my ability to explain complex concepts in clear and simple terms. I strive to make the estate planning process straightforward and ensure that my clients fully grasp the implications of the plans we put in place. My practice covers all aspects of trusts and estates law. I manage issues related to income, estate, inheritance, gift, and generation-skipping transfer taxes, and I assist clients in maximizing the benefits of charitable giving. Known as a trusted advisor and empathetic counselor, I am often chosen by my clients to fulfill the fiduciary roles of executor or trustee. Additionally, I support estate and trust beneficiaries and fiduciaries in enforcing their rights and fulfilling their obligations during disputes. Serving as legal counsel to numerous financial institutions and corporate trustees, I have guided these entities in fulfilling their fiduciary duties while managing the risks associated with the roles of executor or trustee.
