About
Field Dunaway represents people who've been hurt — in car and truck wrecks, on negligently kept properties, in dog bite cases, in workplace and industrial-exposure matters, and in everything else that fits under the personal injury umbrella in South Carolina. He's the second generation of his family practicing law in Anderson, where he was born and raised. After earning his J.D. from the Charleston School of Law, he came home and joined the Dunaway Law Firm, LLC with his father, Tom W. Dunaway III, choosing to focus the practice exclusively on plaintiffs' personal injury and wrongful death work rather than carry on his father's general-practice firm. The firm is intentionally small. When a client signs with Dunaway Law Firm, LLC, the lawyer who reads the file is the lawyer who sits at the negotiating table and, when the case has to go that far, the lawyer who stands in front of the jury. No call center. No senior partner who never returns the call. No volume practice quietly settling cases for a fraction of their value to clear the docket. Field's practice covers automobile and commercial-trucking collisions, motorcycle wrecks, wrongful death, premises liability, dog bite cases, products liability, and matters involving toxic and hazardous chemical exposure. He is licensed in the state courts of South Carolina and admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the District of South Carolina. He handles federal litigation alongside his state-court work — including matters against large commercial defendants and motor carriers when the facts call for it. Field lives in Anderson with his wife Laura and their two children. Away from the office and the courthouse, he can usually be found on Lake Hartwell fishing or hunting somewhere else in the world.
