John C. Sciaccotta

I am a senior member of Aronberg Goldgehn and serve on the firm’s Executive Management Committee. I also had the honor of serving as President of the Chicago Bar Association from June 2024 to June 2025. With nearly 40 years of experience, I focus on trial, litigation, white-collar, and business law. I advocate for clients in complex civil litigation, arbitration, mediation, enforcement, investigation, and business counseling matters. My work emphasizes handling intricate civil trial and appellate cases in federal and state courts and tribunals across the United States. I represent a diverse range of clients, including publicly and privately held domestic and foreign business entities, lenders, employers, municipalities, government bodies, and individuals. My practice spans both transactional matters and disputes. Over the years, I have worked extensively with real estate owners and developers, business owners across various industries, professional service organizations, partnerships, limited liability companies, manufacturing and construction firms, technology companies, professional sales organizations, municipalities, hedge funds, broker-dealers, governmental bodies, banks, and lending institutions. I also have significant experience in the professional sports industry, having represented the Arena Football League, its teams, and owners for many years. In addition to my legal practice, I have served as a Neutral Arbitrator and Mediator for many years, resolving and arbitrating business-related disputes. I am a member of the Commercial Panel on the American Arbitration Association's National Roster of Arbitrators. I am actively involved in the leadership of the firm. I am the founder and co-chair of our Business Divorce practice group, chair of the Commercial Litigation marketing group, a founding member of the firm’s DEI Committee, and co-chair of the Marketing Committee.
