About
Simone N. Archer, Esq. is a well-rounded litigator with a diverse legal background, practicing multiple areas of law. She is also an Administrative Law Judge/Hearing Officer for the City of New York at the Office of Administrative Trials and Hearings (OATH). Ms. Archer has experience working in small and large firms. Prior to becoming the managing member at Archer Harvey & Smith, LLC, Ms. Archer was a trial attorney practicing personal injury and medical malpractice. She was also in-house counsel for a major insurance company practicing insurance defense. Prior to going to law school, Ms. Archer was an insurance agent and claims adjuster for a major insurance company. Ms. Archer takes great pride in giving back to the community. She allocates time to providing pro bono legal assistance through various organizations throughout New York City, including Varick Removal Defense Project, Lawyers’ Foreclosure Intervention Network, New York County Lawyers’ Association’s ‘Project Restore’ and Safe Passage Program. The Pro Bono matters have include representing clients in immigration removal proceedings; special immigrant juvenile matters in Family and Immigration courts and foreclosure prevention proceedings. When Ms. Archer is not busy zealously advocating for her clients or adjudicating cases for the City, she enjoys running, writing and traveling. She has completed her fifth New York City Marathon in November 2021. She is admitted to practice law in New York State courts and Southern and Eastern Federal District Courts of New York. Ms. Archer serves clients throughout New York State and immigration clients worldwide.
