Anthony J. Horky

I am a Florida-licensed attorney with over 25 years of experience, dedicated to assisting startup founders, entrepreneurs launching new ventures, investors, deal participants, and small to medium businesses, as well as growth-stage companies and professionals forming practices. My focus is on supporting various business activities to help protect rights and foster growth. I aim to be the go-to lawyer for founders seeking to understand the legal implications of their business decisions. I provide advice, counsel, and cost-effective services, including structuring and closing commercial transactions, preparing and negotiating contracts, forming entities and drafting internal governance agreements, assisting with nonresidential leasing, offering tax guidance—particularly during the formation stage—and acting as outside general counsel for day-to-day affairs. As a resident of South Florida for over 38 years, I moved here after receiving an honorable discharge from the U.S. Army. I earned my undergraduate degree from Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, Florida, and my law degree from Nova Southeastern University Shepard Broad College of Law in Davie, Florida. In 2021, I completed an advanced degree in Tax Law. My legal experience spans both government service and private practice, with a primary focus on commercial litigation and business/commercial transactions. In addition to my legal practice, I have been teaching as an adjunct instructor at Florida Atlantic University (“FAU”) since 2014. I have held faculty roles as adjunct, instructor, and senior instructor at FAU, teaching upper-level undergraduate and graduate courses in business law, business & applied ethics, legal risk management, and federal tax.
