Alice Yardum-Hunter

Alice Yardum-Hunter, Former Commissioner, Board of Legal Specialization, State Bar of California, practices complex immigration law, though appreciates the simpler matters too. A 14-year Thomson Reuters “Super Lawyer,” she served on its Blue-Ribbon Panel. She is distinguished by Martindale Hubbell. She edited two books for the American Immigration Lawyers Assn. and she is a Congressional Liaison for AILA. She has delivered talks for AILA on O-1 status, waivers of inadmissibility and relinquishment of U.S. citizenship. Alice was the Chair of the L.A. County Bar Association Immigration (LACBA) Section and has served its executive committee since 2006. She established liaison with the DHS Ombudsman’s Office and for 10 years headed up that liaison. She co-established liaison with US Dept. of Labor for LACBA, the only local bar to establish such liaison. She was one of 25 lawyers nominated for top lawyer by the San Fernando Valley Business Journal. She recently won an historic involuntary renunciation of U.S. citizen case after a fourteen-year long battle which uncovered wrongdoing inside federal government agencies. She has delivered more than 40 talks and published more than 30 articles
