Alan M. Insul has been an attorney for over 33 years. He limits his practice to the areas of corporate, business and real estate. Mr. Insul has achieved an AV rating which is the highest rating of an attorney for legal ability and ethics based upon peer review ratings of attorneys and judges from Martindale-Hubbell. Mr. Insul Graduated UCLA in 1973 with a degree in psychology, and he received his J.D. degree in 1978 from Southwestern University School of Law. He was admitted in 1978 to both the California and Federal Court (Central District). While in law school Mr. Insul was a member of the Moot Court Honors Program. In addition, he served as an intern to the Honorable Lynn Compton, Presiding Justice, District Two, Division Two of California Court of Appeals. Mr. Insul is a member of the California Bar and the Los Angeles County Bar Association and longtime member of the Real Estate and Business law sections of both organizations. He has authored many articles on business and real estate law including multiple chapters of Selecting and Forming Business Entities (Second Edition), published by the Continuing Education of the Bar. Mr. Insul acted as a consultant for the real estate practice book, Ground Lease Practice, also published by the Continuing Education of the Bar. Professionally Mr. Insul limits his practice to the areas of corporate, real estate, and business law for transactional matters as well as litigation. In real estate, his experience ranging from lending and acquisition transactions to real estate litigation. In business and corporate law, Mr. Insul has advised start-ups, emerging enterprises, established companies as well as troubled businesses seeking to avoid bankruptcy.
