About

Ahaji Amos is an experienced intellectual property attorney, with a special focus on intellectual property prosecution and litigation in the biotechnological arts, including medical devices, supplements, pharmaceuticals, and software. Ahaji has handled all aspects of litigation, including first chairing multiple litigation matters, as well as handling quasi-litigation matters before the PTAB and TTAB. Ahaji practices all aspects of intellectual property including patents, trademarks, trade secrets and copyrights. She has filed over 100 patent applications, over 100 trademark applications, and numerous cancelation and opposition proceedings. Because she primarily represents early-stage companies, Ahaji also regularly counsels clients on business formation and performs contract review. After law school, Ahaji joined Thompson Coburn, LLP where she focused on intellectual property law and complex litigation. At Thompson Coburn, she worked on multiple “saved seed” litigation matters, drafting pleadings and motions before the Federal Circuit, and played a significant role in several other complex litigation matters. She also managed a portfolio of over 40 patent applications, drafted and filed many patent and trademark applications, and negotiated licenses related to technology transfer. Ahaji has an undergraduate degree in Chemistry, MPH in Health Policy and Management, and a Juris Doctorate. She was the Proctor & Gamble Intellectual Property Fellow at the top-rated Intellectual Property program in the country at the time, Franklin Pierce Law Center. She has been registered to practice before the USPTO since 2000 and licensed to practice law for over 17 years. She currently holds active licenses to practice law in Texas, North Carolina, and Missouri. She may practice intellectual property law in any US state or territory. Ahaji has worked at some of the largest and most prestigious law firms in the country including Thompson Coburn, LLP and Akin Gump.
